Innovating the Future of Affordable Housing

April 30, 2026 8:30 AM - 10:30 AM (MST)

Description

Join Rio Salado College and the Tempe Chamber of Commerce for an industry roundtable exploring the role construction innovation plays in addressing affordability, from emerging technologies like 3D construction to new approaches to workforce development, policy, and collaboration.

This moderated panel brings together leaders from local government, construction, and education to share perspectives on what’s working, what’s getting in the way, and how industry, cities, and education partners can work together to strengthen the pipeline of skilled talent needed to meet housing demand.

Designed for employers, industry professionals, policymakers, and community leaders, this conversation will focus on real-world insights, practical challenges, and opportunities for partnership. This event is open to the public.

Attendees can expect:

  • A candid discussion on the realities of affordable housing in Tempe and the region
  • Insights into construction innovation, including 3D construction and modern building methods
  • Perspectives on workforce gaps and the skills needed for today’s and tomorrow’s construction jobs
  • Opportunities to connect with peers and regional leaders committed to solutions
