The Tempe City Hall Farmers Market will launch on Sunday, Oct. 11.

The market will serve as a welcoming space to connect with neighbors, enjoy fresh flavors, and contribute to a resilient community. It will feature a variety of small-business vendors selling produce, baked goods, ready-to-eat foods, and handmade items. The market will take place on most Sundays, running from 8 a.m. to noon between October and April, and from 7 to 11 a.m., May to September.

The Tempe City Hall Farmer’s Market is organized by Jon Przybyl of Proof Bread and Meg Kabotie Adakai, founder of the Flagstaff Mountain Town Market, in partnership with the City of Tempe. 

The Tempe City Hall Farmers Market also supports Tempe’s sustainability goals. Tempe is working to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and build a more sustainable community. Choosing locally produced food can reduce some of the transportation associated with moving food long distances while also strengthening the local food economy.

“Small choices, when made across a community, can contribute to broader sustainability efforts,” said Eric Iwersen, Tempe’s Transportation and Sustainability Director. “Farmers markets connect people with where their food comes from and with the people who grow it.”

Become a vendor

Event organizers are looking for local farmers, artisan food makers, pet treat creators, health and wellness product producers, musicians, artists and more to participate in the market. Those interested should fill out this form.

Become a volunteer

Event organizers are seeking community or student groups looking to make an impact by helping with event setup, monitoring trash/compost/recycling, or hosting a community activity. Those interested should fill out this form.
