The Chamber’s Public Policy Committee monitors policies and legislation that impact the Tempe business community, supports policies that assist in the development of opportunities for job creation and business growth, and opposes regulations that negatively affect business.

Our guest speaker:
Kevin McCarthy, President of the Arizona Tax Research Association talks about what you need to know concerning the changes in business tax laws and how it could impact your business. He’ll talk about Arizona conforming with federal tax statutes after the passage of HR 1 or the Big Beautiful Bill. Kevin will discuss where conformity is in the legislative process and the possibility of having to amending your tax returns.  From taxes on overtime employees to taxes on tips, Kevin will discuss what can you do while conformity hangs in the balance.
